Yay for Janet's liver!

Dad just got back. He was there for doctor rounds this morning. The report is her liver is working since her ammonia levels are good or at least not bad. Also I think her face is more expressive every day, and she is flailing her arm and leg less on less sedation. Hopefully this is good for her recovery, as it is less alarming for us to watch and she doesn't bash her arm against the bed rail as often. Krell will lower sedation and pain meds to check brain activity today.

Hey, my mom just told me about what happened.

I'm glad Janet is improving steadily. I'm glad the loving support of the family is there with her. :) I'm sending lots of love and healing thoughts that way.

Lots of love to all of you.

Hooray!!! That's very good news about the liver. Um, Jill, I'm not sure your kids need more candy, but if they do, I'll raid Phoebe's stash when she's in class. Maybe you could melt some chocolate and give it to Janet intravenously. That might perk her up. I'm so glad she's more peacful now. I guess the next thing we pray for is good brain function. I hope those tests go well also.

Great news today!!!!! I am monitoring Janet's progress daily and of course continuing to keep her in my prayers. Jill and Amy you are doing a wonderful thing with this blog and those of us that can't be there really appreciate it. Will continue to send positive thoughts your way.

Has anybody asked yet whether she'll be able to play the violin when she recovers? :) Mary

Great news about the liver.

I cannot believe those accident photos. I just drove to Cleveland from Virginia (for Mother's Day) in the rain and I just kept thinking and thinking about the accident and was super careful on the turnpike the entire time.

More good thoughts and wishes and prayers continuing to come your way.

I am one of the ones that tries to check the blog every day. What a wonderful way to keep people up to date and also to keep a record of the myriad ups and downs and doctor opinions

I am so grateful Liz didn't finish all her work obligations before our Hawaii trip so we can check the news several times every day on her laptop. I can also e-mail updates to the prayer chain at my church so they are more tuned in to what's needed. Carrie and Alexa send Jill and Amy their love, and Brian, I told Donald so he'd be know as well. I'm sending all of you strength and love,
Carolyn

Well, we are doing our liver best to help. We ate some liverwurst, went to a livery stable in Liverpool, bought some liverwart, listened to Liverace (you may be too young for that one--ask your folks),
used some liver brothers soap from uniliver. Yes, we're lively liver lovers from Lexington.

We're also licensed liver libbers. Equal rights for livers, we say. No more playing second fiddle (or organ) to kidneys and gall bladders. Remove those galling gall bladders!!!

We hope you appreciate our lusty liver levity letter even if it lacks lucidity and logic and looks unlikely and looney. We're looking forward to some liverly luxurious lounging with the lord and lady when long at last this lousy lot is over and you're back to living a lovely life.

Love
Sue and Bob
