Saddened by news of the accident, but very glad to hear about your Mom's progress. Will be watching the blog and thinking of her often.

Thanks for the pictures of Janet and the birthday party. Maybe Janet could put a donation jar on her nightstand for all the hospital staff to dump their change into. I bet she'd get a lot of money before June 1. I'm glad Janet is making such good progress every day, and I hope you can all get more and more rested. Now I understand why you keep saying Janet's an angel. I think you might need to add some shiny gold tinsel to the halo to emphasize the fact. I don't think iron halos are very far up in the angel pecking order, and Janet is certainly top seraph and matriarch in your angelic family. Happy Mother's Day to Janet and Jill. I haven't seen a picture of Jill for awhile, and it's amazing how much she looks like I remember Janet from the late 70s and early 80s when I was hanging out at your house in Virginia.

Happy Mother's Day, Janet. I know Amy and Jill are celebrating big time. You look fantastic and I also think the halo should be gold. O r you can jazz it up with day-glo orange and red stripes.

I Know it's late, Derek, but I wish you a very happy birthday. Looking at the photos of your party, it's obvious my wish came true.

Amy and Jill, you are wonderful!

Btian, John wants to talk to you so he/I will probably call later today. We have both been worried about you, too.

Happy Mother's Day, Janet. I know this is one you could never have imagined and certainly not wanted -- but all of us who've been following this are so grateful you're here, even in that contraption. I like the donation jar idea very much. Jill, Happy Mother's Day to you too and thanks for posting the pix. Love to all and a special hug to Brian,

Now that I see that halo I have all kinds of ideas to jazz it up...glitter, ribbons, stickers, and of course lots of fuzzies!...I'm flashing back to our days in Kindergarten at Sugarland! Janet, you have always been an inspiration to me since I met you on Steven's first day in Kindergarten and it was an honor to work with you for several years. I cherish our memories and our friendship. We are all praying for your continued recovery. All our love, Mary Ann, Wes, Stefan and Steven

Hi Janet...
You look beautiful in your halo. A sight for sore eyes. I always thought you were an angel sent to guide me through the mine fields of life. You have been a blessing to me for almost forty three years and will continue to be one for at least the next forty three years. Happy Mother's Day!!!! I figure you started to practice these "mother skills" on me in Titus Hall. You really went to work on these skills with all of those kindergarten kids. But you really did a bang up job with Amy and Jill. They surely make you proud. They have inherited the mother gene. They did a great job taking care of you, Brian, Derek, and Anna during the 10 most difficult days imaginable. Judging from the comments I've read, the whole blogasphere is in awe of them. A little news from here. Braden's birthday party went well. My mom and Kim's grandmother spent the whole afternoon on the couch complaining to each other. They seem to be having a grand time. I don't know what the fuss was all about. If there is any fall out, I'm sure to hear about it some time. I guess that is all for now. Stick your tongue out at Brian for me and say hello to Jill and Amy. Love Donna
P.S. Happy Birthday Derek and Happy Mother's Day Jill

A picture is worth a thousand words and the newest ones say so much about Janet's fighting spirit, the closeness of your family and the joy you all find in each other. I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and a great birthday party for Derek.

Brittany and Devon called me today for mother's DAy. They send their best to you all. Bob called me to keep me updated on the blog in case I missed anything while I was with my mom today.
I sang Happy Mother's day (to the tune of Happy birthday since that is Jonas' favorite song regardless if there is a birthday)to Britt's answering machine and Jonas replied by singing Happy birthday to Grandma and Buppa. I don't get too teary eyed though; he sings happy birthday to the chair, the window, the cats, the puppy, anybody in the street . . .
I would call and sing it for Janet too, but she's heard me sing before and I am pretty sure she'd take a pass. Instead, would you pass on hugs and kisses?
Vickie
PS: I vote for jazzing up the halo too. Derek and Anna have any ideas?
