ICE CREAM!

Breathing parameters were good. Responsiveness is good, even better than last night. She can squeeze fingers and isolate moving one foot at a time. Krell said, yeah we might try to pull that tube this morning. Then my dad and I left the room for 15 minutes while they changed her bed. We were in the waiting room and after 14 minutes and 59 seconds I said "We can go in" As if we were connected, we immediately stopped talking and jumped out of our chairs. We got to her room and my sneaking suspicions were confirmed--they pulled the tube! As everyone reads that, I'm envisioning a "wave" going across the country as everyone jumps out of their chair and throws their arms in the air and yells "whoo-hooo Janet". Her first words were THANK YOU (to the RT), MOISTURE (to the nurse), and ICE CREAM (to whoever will deliver the goods). Gotta run, she just told my sister that she wants to see her grandkids. I'm at the hotel and I have to get them out of the pool. As SpongeBob would say "BEST DAY EVER"

Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the whole ice cream truck! Let it melt and stick in a straw. In fact, stick in a bunch of straws so all of you can celebrate together. Wouldn't that be a picture?? I'm sure the grandkids would love it. Then, all you'd need is some medicine to take care of all of the stomach aches (lol). God is good!!
Much love, Judy and Neal

So, the grandkids take a back seat to ice cream, huh? I can respect that! There are days I'd trade my two for a double scoop.... But I digress.... HOORAY!!! Such great news. Am sending liver enzyme vibes her way. (I've never attempted to stabilize liver enzymes through force of will from 3000 miles away, but I'll see what I can do.) Am SO HAPPY for all of you. Love, Mary

Hey hey hey! Liz and I just did a wave big enough it'll probably reach from Maui to Japan (but Brian and Janet may remember I got that D in Geography at UCD, so probably Maui and Japan are totally not across from one another. Anyhow, this is just so cool. We are rejoicing and still sending good thoughts for getting enzymes, white cells etc. where they need to be. I have a feeling the talking will help a lot -- from one extravert to another, Janet, you talk as much as you feel like. We love you all, Carolyn

WHOO-HOOO JANET!!!

You go, girl!

I see the national wave in my mind's eye. There's nothing better than ice cream and grandkids to improve one's spirits.

I'm sending liver enzyme vibes her way too. I imagine many people's radio reception will suffer interference as all these vibes fly through the air to Idaho Falls.

Janet, talk their ears off! Tell them what you REALLY think.

Lots of love
Sukey

Congratulations to all of you for hanging in there and being strong through the worst of times. May things continue to improve :)

Poor Janet was in enough pain without being deprived of ice cream, too! What happy, happy news. I've been thinking of you, Janet, whenever I go out for walks, imagining that you will soon be taking long, brisk strides. I appreciate that you've given me permission to eat some ice cream to assist you in your recovery. Mmmmmm. I'll stick my chocolatey tongue out the the west!
Love,
Bridget

Whoo Hoo & Waves from UCDMG in Sacramento! And, more happy tears! You go Janet, and keep on healing!! I'm sending positive vibes for good liver enzymes too. Keep visualizing Baskin-Robbins ice cream when you get back to Roseville.

Love & Hugs,
Linda

Let's have a rousing course of the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah! Great great news and what a relief.

While I am here: news from Cleveland. It's not ice cream but it's pizza, maybe the next best thing (after chocolate, too, of course):

The big news story here last night was that a Papa John's pizza place in Washington, D.C., handed out some T shirts calling LeBron James a crybaby because he didn't like the officiating in the basketball playoffs when the Cleveland Cavaliers were playing the Washington Wizards. So the Cleveland Papa Johns felt their honor--or something--was at stake and offered one-topping pizzas all day yesterday for 23 cents (LeBron's jersey number). They gave out 172000 pizzas in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton/Toledo and Columber areas and arrested some folks for disorderly conduct when the place closed and they couldn't get their pizza. Took up the first 10 minutes of the local 11pm news.
