Mom fits in the van!
My dad is running errands (limited to 2 hours!) while Connie and Nathan hang out with Mom.
There is an article about Rita in the works for the Challis paper.
Between my dad and the nurses we found, Mom is getting all her shots.
Still on the to-do list is finding reputable doctors for mom's follow up care: an orthopedist and a neurologist (or neuro surgeon? are these two different people?) in the Roseville area.
Home nurse will visit next Wednesday. No word on when my mom's physical therapy will start up.

Janet & Brian,
So glad to hear that you are home & settling in. Keep up the good work. I will be in your area on Sat., June 7, in the afternoon & hope that I can come by & see you. I can visit with Janet for a few hours while Brian gets caught up on life but a visit with both of you would be great. I will give you a call in the next few days to see if this can work out. I would love to see you.
And congratulations on all the progress you have made so far & for fitting in the van.
I continue to pray for a full recovery in all areas. May you continue to see God's blessings.
love, Valerie
Tom, Nathan and I joined Elaine and Neil in celebrating Brian and Janet's second night at home with a pot-luck Mexican dinner, with plenty of guacamole for Janet! Her appitite is still not up to par, but her wit and good humor is still amazing. She looks amazingly well!
Don't worry about the list of doctors, I received the E-mail link from Jill and printed out that and two other doctor's lists (Top Docs and Grade a Doc). So they have plenty of doctors to check out, plus what ever specialist their primary doctor refers them to. I told Brian that it would be a good idea to get an appointment with that PCP as soon as possible because he might be able to allow more of the services to be covered by the insurance. Of course, any personal experiences with a wonderful neuroligist would still be helpful.
The van that was delivered today is amazing and totally meets the need for transporting Janet in style. With just a push of a button, the door unlocks, the whole vehicle gets lowered and the ramp rolls down.
What a blessing relief to have them home!
