For anyone who is still checking the blog, please help us out by planning to call my mom sometime this week. She has a lot of doctors' appointments she's nervous about and could use some cheerful phone calls from friends. Best times are (Pacific time) 10-12, 3-5, and 7-9.

I still check and I will call. I talked to both of them about a week ago. Shortly thereafter we had three tornadoes or microbursts or whatever in Loudoun and we were without power from Wednesday to Friday which meant, among other things, no phones. I will call.
